Project R.E.D, or better known as Rural Education Day, is scheduled for Thursday, April 9th at Hillsdale County Fairgrounds. Sponsored by Hillsdale County Farm Bureau and many local organizations, this day is a one-day field trip for 4th grade students to learn about agriculture. Students will rotate between six stations to hear from local farmers including hogs, equipment, sheep, water cycle, pollinators (bees), and the Great Lakes diversity which showcases the array of commodities Michigan products. Teachers and students are provided with materials for their classrooms to take their one-day experience further.
