My roots began in Hudsonville and led me to Cornerstone University, where I studied Education and competed in track and field. It was at Cornerstone that I met my wife, Shannon, and we were married in 2005.

Just two years into our marriage, Shannon and I found ourselves stepping into guardianship of her younger siblings, who were 11 and 14 at the time, after the passing of both of her parents. While raising her siblings in Allendale, we also began growing our own family. Today, we are blessed with five children—London, Malachi, Nora Jo, Oakleigh, and Collins. In 2019, we moved from Allendale back to Hudsonville, where we now proudly call home.

After several years in education, a new door opened into sales. Through an introduction to State Farm, I earned my insurance license and began working there in 2011. By 2015, I started pursuing the idea of opening my own agency. After prayerfully considering my next step, I was invited by Farm Bureau to open an agency. On October 5th, 2015, I opened the doors to the Underwood Agency.

With 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, I genuinely enjoy helping individuals and families navigate their insurance needs. Whether or not our agency is the best fit, my goal is to be a trusted resource—guiding people toward the coverage that best serves their unique situation.
