Michigan Farm Bureau is now offering 2026 summer internships.
Michigan Farm Bureau Family of Companies provides three agriculture-related internship opportunities for students every summer. Applications are open and will be accepted through the FB Careers Center. Each position offers learning opportunities, networking, and leadership building skills. Responsibilities and qualifications for each role are described in the postings.
MFB internships are eagerly pursued and help students gain excellent agriculture-based insights along with workplace environment experience.
“I think that MFB internships are a great way to get connected in the industry as well as being able to see many different sides of agriculture in one place,” said Callie Loew, the current Young Farmer intern.
Ag Education and leadership intern
Students with a passion for ag education, promotion, and leadership development can apply for this position and work directly with the Promotion & Education and Young Farmer departments.
The intern will support day-to-day operations of the departments, assist with Michigan Ag in the Classroom, help coordinate events, manage social media, support outreach programs, and develop resources.

Public Policy & Commodity Division
Students who are intrigued with agriculture policy, the legislative process, and politics should apply for an internship with the Public Policy & Commodity team. This position offers hands-on experience with Michigan’s farm policy and how MFB works with its members.
This role includes the responsibilities of assisting managers with coordinating meetings, reviewing policy materials, and researching new various programs. As a rotational position, interns will also be able to experience other departments such as: Claims, Agency, Marketing, and Underwriting.

Communications and marketing intern
Students with an interest in marketing, campaigns, and media can apply for the position. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow and learn in the communication field.
In this position, responsibilities include creating social media content, developing marketing campaigns, and collaborating with staff on various projects. As a rotational position, interns will also be able to experience other departments such as: Claims, Agency, Public Policy, and Underwriting.
