Several district policy development meetings are set for the remainder of spring and into summer. These gatherings bring together county Farm Bureau members like you to explore emerging issues facing Michigan farms and agribusinesses, discuss how Farm Bureau can help shape outcomes, and enjoy time connecting with fellow members.

“We love seeing both new and returning members at these meetings,” said Emily Reinart, Michigan Farm Bureau’s grassroots policy outreach specialist. “It’s a low-pressure environment to share ideas, identify challenges and opportunities, and explore how we might address them through updates to our state or national policy book.”

Policy proposals from district meetings will be advanced to county annual meetings for member votes. Approved proposals move on to the 21-member state-level policy development committee. The final slate will be considered by voting delegates during MFB’s annual meeting, Dec. 2-3 in Grand Rapids.
