Farm Bureau engagement goes back to school

As students adjust to life on campus, encourage them to seek out their Collegiate Farm Bureau chapter.
Date Posted: August 27, 2025

While many college students are active county Farm Bureau members, heading back to school presents an exciting opportunity for students to network with peers through Collegiate Farm Bureau.

Collegiate clubs are a great place to test your leadership skills, make new friends and build career experience. As students adjust to life on campus, encourage them to seek out their Collegiate Farm Bureau chapter. With 13 chapters across the state, your college student can connect with peers and industry professionals, build career and leadership skills, and develop their voice as an advocate for agriculture.

Collegiate Farm Bureau members can participate in the Collegiate Discussion Meets, the #SpeakAgMichigan challenge, Harvest for All Collegiate challenge, and next year’s Young Farmer Leaders and the Voice of Agriculture conferences, where they can learn directly from agribusiness professionals, public policy workshops, consumer advocacy, industry tours and potential internship connections.

Encourage your young farm scholars to learn more about Collegiate Farm Bureau membership online and by reaching out to their college’s advisor.
