P&E Connecting Communities Grants: Where to start??

In 2024, funds normally earmarked for MFB’s Voice of Agriculture will instead be shared with county Farm Bureaus in support of their local Promotion & Education efforts.
Date Posted: June 28, 2023

If your county Farm Bureau wants to further engage with local consumers but isn’t sure where to begin, here are five guidelines to inspire your efforts!

Each document outlines templates, talking points, posters, handouts and other resources that will be available from Michigan Farm Bureau in 2024 to support your Connecting Communities efforts.

The step-by-step guides provide details needed for brainstorming and completing the grant application. Most documents offer ideas beyond the $1,000 grant budget, so pick and choose pieces that are the best fit for your county!

Note that some resources are still being developed with plans to be available for 2024. If you have ideas on how to use something in 2023, outside the Connecting Communities program, contact me, P&E Program Specialist Amelia Miller!

Also note that you are NOT limited to only the programs listed above! Be as creative as you’d like within the time, talent, budget and volunteers accessible to you.

Check out our Connecting Communities FAQ and be sure to submit your grant application by the Oct. 1 deadline!

Questions? Contact your district’s state P&E committee member or me, Amelia Miller, 517-679-5688.
