The cost of higher education can be a significant hurdle, and finding scholarships isn’t always easy. Michigan Farm Bureau members and their dependents attending Michigan State University for an ag-related degree are encouraged to apply for our own Marge Karker Scholarship.

Established in 1967, the scholarship honors Marge Karker, a dedicated MFB volunteer and staff member for over 37 years. Her visionary leadership helped launch influential programs such as the Washington Legislative Seminar and laid the foundation for today's Promotion & Education efforts.

Each fall, the scholarship awards multiple MSU students enrolled in:

  • Any agriculture-focused bachelor’s degree
  • Graduate-level agriculture programs
  • The two-year Institute of Agricultural Technology at MSU

Apply for the Marge Karker Scholarship here before the June 30 deadline.
