The Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan Agent Charitable Fund (ACF) plans to award $5,750 in hunger-relief contributions through ACF’s Double-Up Donation program. ACF is proud to support nine county Farm Bureaus and provide matching funds to support their hunger-relief donations in the November cycle.

The following county Farm Bureaus will utilize Double-Up to support monetary donations to local hunger-relief programs:

  • Clinton County Farm Bureau, supporting the Beacon of Hope Food Pantry at the First Baptist Church of St. Johns
  • Eaton County Farm Bureau, supporting Helping Hands of Eaton County
  • Genesee County Farm Bureau, supporting the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan
  • Otsego County Farm Bureau, supporting the Hunters Feeding Michigan Program through the Food Bank Council of Michigan and Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
  • Wayne County Farm Bureau, supporting Northend Christian Community Development Corporation

The following county Farm Bureaus will utilize Double-Up to facilitate a hunger-relief program or project to feed their community:

Antrim County Farm Bureau — Antrim County Deer Donation Event

Funds will be directed to the Hunters Feeding Michigan Program through the Food Bank Council of Michigan and Michigan Department of Natural Resources, who will be managing the deer processing for the event. Processed venison will be donated in-kind to the seven regional food banks serving Michigan.

Livingston County Farm Bureau — Livingston County Deer Donation Event

Funds will be directed to the Hunters Feeding Michigan Program through the Food Bank Council of Michigan and Michigan Department of Natural Resources, and Michigan Sportsmen Against Hunger, both of whom will be managing the deer processing for the event. Processed venison will be donated in-kind to Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan.

Ogemaw County Farm Bureau — Ogemaw and Iosco County Farm Bureau Deer Donation Event

Funds will be used to process deer that are donated during the event. Processed venison will then be distributed to families in need at Whittemore-Prescott Elementary.

The ACF Double-Up Donation Program supports county Farm Bureaus’ efforts to end hunger in their communities by providing matching funds to local organizations and programs which represent the ACF mission. County Farm Bureaus initiate the nomination and donation process, and the selected program is reviewed for an ACF matching donation by a committee of ACF donors based on the need of the organization, population being served and overall goal of the program.

Double-Up Donation requests are reviewed every other month, and the 2026 application will open in early January. For more information about the Double-Up Donation Program, visit our website or contact ACF Manager Persis Sopariwala at [email protected]

ACF donation match through the Double-Up program can also count towards the county’s Harvest for All totals. Harvest for All is a year-long campaign, created by the American Farm Bureau Federation, that encourages Farm Bureau members across the country and in Michigan to work together to fight hunger in their communities. The district that contributes the most pounds of food, volunteer hours and dollars is recognized at the state level and given $1,000 to distribute to a hunger-relief organization of their choice.

The ACF, whose mission is to end hunger in Michigan, is a donor-designated fund administered through the Michigan Foundation for Agriculture. The Michigan Foundation for Agriculture, a 501(c)(3) governed by Michigan Farm Bureau’s board of directors, positively contributes to the future of Michigan agriculture through leadership and educational programming.

Through donation match programs like Double-Up Donation, Farm Bureau agents, clients and partners provide food and educational programs to Michigan residents struggling with hunger and aid the more than 3,000 hunger-relief agencies throughout the state.
