At Michigan Farm Bureau, we believe strong communities are built through connection, collaboration, and shared purpose. That’s why we’re excited to share that our Chief Operating Officer, Michelle Reynaert, has been appointed to the inaugural board of directors for Lansing 5:01. This marks a new chapter in a valued partnership that began in 2015.
Lansing 5:01 has played a vital role in helping people see the Lansing region as a vibrant place to live, work, and grow. From signature events to employer collaborations, the organization has brought creativity and energy to efforts that highlight all our region has to offer.
With the formation of a new nonprofit structure and a dedicated board of leaders from across the region, Lansing 5:01 is entering a phase of even greater impact. Michigan Farm Bureau is proud to be part of that vision.
“Michigan Farm Bureau has been proud to partner with Lansing 5:01 since its inception in 2015,” said Dave Vering, Manager of Employment Services and Corporate Training at Michigan Farm Bureau Family of Companies. “This new chapter represents an exciting opportunity to deepen that partnership. With Michelle’s leadership on the board, we’re looking forward to continuing our work together to grow talent, strengthen community, and help shape a bright future for the Lansing region.”
Our organization has deep roots across the state, and we believe that investing in local talent and community development benefits all of Michigan. Michelle’s role on the board is a reflection of our ongoing commitment to partnerships that make a difference.
Lansing 5:01 has welcomed more than 40,000 young professionals through events like Rooftop Hop, Lansing Restaurant Week, and the Dam Jam Music Festival. These efforts have helped boost population growth, build connections among employers, and celebrate the culture that makes this region special.
We are proud to continue supporting Lansing 5:01 as they foster connection, champion community, and inspire people to see mid-Michigan as a place worth calling home.
